I know if Bungie did this they would be accused of just “recycling” Destiny 1 content again, and yet if that’s what the team needs to do in order to have something substantial out in the fall. It would also allow for potential progress of the Pyramid portion of the storyline too, as those are interlinked. It could work from a story perspective too, as a Taken focused storyline could easily rope in long-distant figures Savathun and Quira, and them being the focus of a big fall expansion seems like a good idea. It’s like a couple parts of Io and the EDZ and…really not all that much else. Destiny 2 really does not have all that many zones with Taken at all. While I would be somewhat concerned about the Hive focus (the moon was also Hive focused), obviously you could bring back in the Taken as the main enemy there. It contains some of the best strikes from Destiny 1 which could be brought back with new versions (Sunless Cell, Shield Brothers). It’s an extremely creatively designed space and would be easy to potentially expand with new “decks” and such. The Dreadnaught works here for a number of reasons. And hell, it was new for a lot of New Light players or people who only showed up starting at Destiny 2, so it was kind of a win-win. And even then, no, that probably still won’t be Destiny 3.Īs such, if we are doing something Shadowkeep-sized, one of the core components of Shadowkeep is that it brought back the Moon from Destiny 1, expanding it in fairly significant ways, and yet ultimately using it as a design base which allows for at least some amount of work saved when bringing in a “new” area to the game. That may disappoint players, if true, and yet that’s still my hunch and that if we do get some massive new thing, it’s not going to be before fall 2021. Instead, I would guess that we are going to see again, something more along the lines of the size of Shadowkeep, smaller than even Taken King and Forsaken. Not only because Destiny 3 is probably not actually going to be a thing, but I would also not expect anything “Destiny 3 sized” either, regardless of what it’s called. Do not reproduce without permission. That ain’t gonna happen. Target is usually a highly valued one and rewards are also greater. These kinds of missions are rare and there is no current patrol symbol for this one. Instead of a head count, success is determined by the items or loot collected from the dead. This is a variation of the Kill Patrol Missions. The kill patrol symbol is a large diamond surrounded by four small triangles. Mission ends after player completes the assigned quota of kills. Players are also given an axe to complete the mission.Īs the name implies, players simply kill any opponents they meet. The Quarantine patrol symbol is the same as the Siva. Afterwards, player will need to defend the designated area from enemy attacks. Missions like these requires player to kill enemy Elite Splicer Units. Player will go out to scan and investigate the anomaly if any. They are also called anomaly missions and its patrol symbol resembles a Ghost.
Generally, there is not much action in these missions unless player goes to a place crawling with opponents.
Players will go to the designated area and stand guard for a short while. These are also known as survey patrol mission in Destiny, according to VG247. In the Rise of Iron expansion, players will need to do a number of particular patrol missions to finish some important quests in the game. Missions can range from a simple reconnaissance to assassinations.ĭestiny: Rise of Iron - Need to Complete Specific Missionsĭestiny veteran players are familiar with the patrol symbols. Destiny: Rise of Iron will use patrol symbols to designate what kind of mission is assigned to the player's character.
